Objective
Games can be presented in lieu of content or to practice once the content has been presented. Games provide an engaging way for learners to interact with the content. Many games are competitive and raise the participants’ interest and energy level.
Time Required
About 45-60 minutes - can easily expand or contract the activity to suit the available time.
Materials Required
- The materials will vary according to the games you are playing. You may choose to have electronic games, board games, card games, puzzles, etc.
- Games pieces
- Game instructions and rules (recommend printed copies for easy participant referral)
- Timer
Instructions
- Practice the game with a test group to determine if the instructions are clear and the game flows as planned. Determine how much time is required.
- Instructions will vary according to the game.
