December 2008 Newsletter
Good Morning,
This past “Thanksgiving” week I made a point to be attentive to everyone and everything that I was thankful for…which included you. I am truly grateful for each of you who faithfully read, skim through, or ponder over my thoughts. Hopefully, what I share is useful to you. So, thank you!
I attended 4 conferences in 14 days in October:
- North American Simulation and Gaming Association (NASAGA) in Indianapolis, Indiana.
- Toyota’s In the Interest of Women in Lexington, Kentucky.
- Greater Cincinnati ASTD’s Kaleidoscope of Possibilities: Training and Development Patterns, Thinking, and Approaches in Cincinnati, Ohio.
- 2008 Hamilton Writers Guild Workshop with Dr. Dennis Hensley in Hamilton, Ohio.
Each conference was unique and provided me with special and diverse insights that will move me forward in my career. I dutifully reviewed all the content and material I brought home and acted on, filed, and/or pitched as was necessary. I don’t know about you, but this is not easy to do when you’ve been away from the office for a long period of time and have other things “calling for your attention.” Regardless, I wanted to send my thanks to all of you who did such a terrific job to help me grow!
Susan’s Picks are now featuring:
- Affiliate Marketing Partner: Gail Love, founder of GL Leadership Solutions, who has over 34 years of training, coaching, and facilitation experience in a number of diverse industries. As an agent of leadership development and a promoter of organizational growth, Gail works hard to help individuals function at their personal and professional best.
- Recommended Resources: Patti Massey at e-Nforce. e-Nforce is the delivery system for a wide variety of powerful and interactive e-learning courses, namely those found in Diversity University, which inspires employees to value and embrace diversity as barriers are reduced and productivity is improved through our innovative and cost effective e-learning tools.
- Book Reviews: Drew Stevens’ Split Second Selling and Stacey Hanke’s Yes You Can! Everything You Need from A to Z to Influence Others to Take Action.
- Miscellaneous Providers: Karen Gamel and Kim Hermann who are both excellent realtors in the Northern Kentucky area. (Home sales were up 3.8% in Northern Kentucky – bucking national trends!)
Speaking of books, many of you know that I believe in the power of attracting that which you want in your life. A new book called Living the Law of Attraction: Real Stories of People Manifesting Health, Wealth, and Happiness by Rich German and Robin Hoch contains stories about everyday people who have experienced incredible results in their lives by harnessing the power of the Law of Attraction. An insightful introduction with Rich’s “Six Steps to Manifestation,” which clearly explains how to implement this universal law, will put you on the path toward living the life of your wildest dreams.
Rich and Robin have teamed up with dozens of authors and personal growth experts to provide you with over 70 free gifts when you purchase their book today. I have provided one of these special gifts.
So, if you’re looking for a unique gift this holiday season, give the gift of inspiration! Living the Law of Attraction is full of empowering, inspirational stories that will uplift you and others! Check it out.
We’ve added a few more articles to our website.
I came across an interesting article titled, 5 Salary Secrets Your Company Won't Tell You. If the title intrigues you, as it intrigued me, check it out.
Don’t forget to take advantage of our eWorkbooks, AudioCasts, and Training Kits! I’m still interested in connecting with you through LinkedIn, Plaxo, Facebook, and Namyz.
Also, if you live in the Cincinnati/ Northern Kentucky area, be sure to check out our sandwiches at Izzy’s – the Uncle Ron and Suzie. Yum!
Remember, the Commencement Speech I delivered to the graduates of the Art Institute of Cincinnati is now available for viewing on my website. Perhaps you can listen to it as you clean your office.
May you continue to acknowledge gratitude as you enjoy this holiday season,
