September 2009 Newsletter

[firstname,fallback=Good Morning],

In case you haven't noticed, I have added two freebies to my website for those who sign up for my newsletter. Since most of you have already signed up - because you are getting my newsletter - you may want access to these goodies without the sign up procedures, so here they are:

Check them out. And, I'd love your input.

Job Seekers and Others Needing Motivation

I want to remind you of the Commencement speech I gave about a year ago to the Art Institute of Cincinnati-Ohio. For those of you who are job seekers or for those of you who just need a little "pick me up," I would encourage you to listen. Please send the link to friends and relatives "in transition," because it may give them another way to look at things in these turbulent times.

Otto's Toot

Donald Kirkpatrick now refers to his Kirkpatrick Four Level Evaluation Model as the Kirkpatrick Model. I think this is brilliant.

Why? Well, creating an excellent training program has always required these pre-training steps, but most people focus on evaluation and measurement after the training is designed. Kirkpatrick wants to ensure that training professionals are finally thinking of evaluation and measurement throughout the entire process.

Remember, submit your tips or ideas on designing, developing, and/or documenting training to be featured in an upcoming newsletter. Toot your own horn!
